Merry May Member Reading (That's a Mouthful)
Paragraph kicked off the Memorial Day weekend with a packed house member reading at KGB. Who knew people stuck around in the summer? Or perhaps when you have three heavy hitter writers, it's worth getting to the beach a few hours late.

The bar filling up, energy building.

Christina Jespersen, cool cucumber and holder of a double masters, prepares to read from a young adult novel.

Christina's writing is gripping, tangible. It describes a young boy in a war zone and by the end, blood is spilled. Andrew Boyd (foreground) is stunned. Is this really young adult?

We just like the arm motion in this shot. Sean Hanley (back left) tries to swallow his stomach down from his throat as he prepares to take the mic.

This guy silenced the annoying beeping on our camera. Thank you guy in grey shirt!

All eyes on Sean, about to read from a novel he finished at Paragraph just weeks ago.

Sean's bio promised a serious novel, but the crowd is guffawing after the first paragraph.

Three people enjoying Sean's narrator, a television star everyone loves to hate.

Product shot. Does Sam Adams owe us money for this one?

Braxton reads from a short story in progress. He describes his work as 'rural fabulism', or fabulous ruralism?

A smile turned into a frown: check out Andrew's dueling expressions.

Crowd shot.

Braxton's post-reading conversation. We love the fish lips.

To be fair, Braxton's post-reading relaxation, sans fish lips.
