Emily Barton is the author of two novels, Brookland and The Testament of Yves Gundron, both published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux. Her reviews appear regularly in many publications including Los Angeles Times Book Review and The New York Times Book Review, and her essay "Eli Miller’s Seltzer Delivery Service" will appear in the forthcoming anthology Brooklyn Was Mine. In 2006, she received grants from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
