Bob Powers is the author of the new humor book, You Are A Miserable Excuse for a Hero (written entirely at Paragraph!), a choose-your-own-ending book aimed at ambivalent 30-somethings who are terrified of making choices. His first book of humor, Happy Cruelty Day! was released in 2007. Bob is a staff writer for The Arianna Huffington/IAC Interactive humor site. He has appeared on NPR and at HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Bob was the co-creator of the long-running reading series "How To Kick People" (presently on indefinite hiatus). Every day is a holiday at his website girlsarepretty.com.
Brendan Cooney's work has appeared in Prairie Schooner, Salon, National Journal, Columbia Journalism Review, Counterpunch, and USA Today. Currently, he is at work on a book about his 750-mile walk across France and Spain.
