Jamie Brenner has been an agent with Artists and Artisans since 2007. She came to the agency with a decade of experience in book publishing, including literary publicity (HarperCollins Publishers), online bookselling (BarnesandNoble.com), and manuscript analysis and book scouting for major film companies (Miramax Films, Davis Entertainment). Jamie is actively seeking literary fiction, commercial women’s fiction, narrative nonfiction, memoir, and YA. She is especially looking for stories that say something big about the world we live in, about relationships at crossroads, or dealing with monumental choices. Adam "Snapper" Chromy, a native New Yorker, had many interesting careers (lifeguard, bicycle messenger, nightclub bouncer and technologist) before finding his true calling as a literary agent. After graduating from NYU’s Stern School of Business, he created and managed several successful and profitable technology companies. Seeking a more creative outlet for his energy, Adam returned to NYU, began writing screenplays and ended up working at a renowned literary agency. It was not long before his success and entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own literary agency, Artists and Artisans Inc. Adam is still signing authors of fiction and narrative nonfiction as long as the writing is exceptional and the authors have something truly unique to say. He is also interested in practical nonfiction from authors with strong platforms and/or a point of view that challenges the status quo.
