Paragraph and the 2019 Brooklyn Book Festival are proud to be hosting Pitch Wars at McNally Jackson as an official Brooklyn Book Fest Bookends Event.
Do you have an idea for a book? A manuscript you're trying to publish? This is your chance to put your creativity to the test! Sign up ahead or at the door to give a one-minute elevator pitch to a panel of experienced editors and agents, including author Allison Amend (Enchanted Islands, Stations West), editor Brenda Copeland, and agent Joelle Delbourgo (Joelle Delbourgo Associates), for real-time Shark Tank-style feedback. Winners receive a free month at Paragraph NY, a communal workspace for writers with locations in Union Square and Williamsburg. Select finalists receive free weeks.
We will be drawing names from Eventbrite ticket list along with a sign up sheet at the door. Names will be drawn at random for this event. We cannot garantee we will get to everyone, but will get to as many as we can.
Check out the other Bookends events, too––they’re all gems! We hope to see you out there.
This event is free and open to the public. NOTE: THIS IS AN OFFICIAL 2019 BROOKLYN BOOK FESTIVAL EVENT!
