Self-Care for Writers: Freedom from Pain and Strain
If you’ve ever found yourself with tight shoulders, tired eyes, painful wrists and an aching back after a long writing session, then this workshop is for you! You’ll learn how to release tension, ease pain, and make your sentences flow more smoothly with the Alexander Technique. With simple explorations in mindfulness and body mechanics, you’ll learn principles of posture, ergonomics, and ease of movement that you can apply to your entire life. Attendees will also receive a $25 credit towards a private lesson with Witold.

WITOLD FITZ-SIMON is a nationally certified Alexander Technique teacher, and served as a faculty member on the American Center for the Alexander Technique's teacher training program from 2016 until its closure in 2018. A certified yoga instructor since 2000, Witold combines his practice of yoga, Alexander Technique, embodied anatomy, and developmental movement into a lively somatic approach to self-expression and the body. He is author of “Practicing Freedom: The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali,” the “Yoga Practice Journal,” and is currently writing a supernatural thriller series at Paragraph.
